A California court ruled of Palestinian activist Soheir Nafal, rejecting a complaint brought by Rebecca Ram, a former Israeli soldier, to suppress her and accuse her of defamation.
In 2018, Nafal posted a photo on "Facebook" in which she gathered the Palestinian paramedic Razan al-Najjar, who was shot by Israeli soldiers in her medical uniform in the Gaza Strip, and the female soldier Ram, who was carrying guns, and expressed her rejection of "Israeli" crimes against our people.
The American judge ruled against the Israeli female soldier, which dismissed the case under a statute that punishes "criticizing Israel" with a year in prison, as well as rejected Ram's claim for up to $ 6 million in material compensation.
Nafal is an activist in the BDS movement in the United States of America, and it is one of the most successful campaigns at the level of American universities and businesses.
It has achieved several victories in favor of the Palestinian cause in recent years, prompting several states to pass special laws criminalizing Boycotting the occupation or endorsing BDS, until it became within the law.
