The Palestinian Authority’s security forces had launched an arresting campaign against the Democratic Reformists’ cadres and leaders in the West Bank, only 2 days after PA’s president Mahmoud Abbas announced stopping all political detention campaigns in Palestine.

This is showing a clear contradiction in his leadership of the Palestinian people!

In the last 2 weeks, Abbas’ security forces have invaded the homes of the Democratic Reformists within Fatah Movement (DRFM) cadres and leaders, arrested tens of them, and assaulted them on numerous occasions.

The Democratic Reformists within Fatah Movement strongly denounces PA’s campaign against its leaders and activists in the West Bank, stressing that those crimes clearly expose PA’s failure in confronting the main challenges in the face of the Palestinian cause.

“The PA continues to run away from challenging the main enemy, instead, it replaces this confrontation with creating internal trouble that confuses the Palestinians, and distracts them from witnessing the real weakness among PA’s leadership,” DRFM affirmed.

The Democratic Reformists calls on all the Palestinians to move against those crimes committed by PA, and carry out their national responsibility towards their fellow fighters who refused to bow for PA’s policies that heavily damaged the Palestinian cause.
