Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a statement that, two Palestinian prisoners held in the Israeli jails since before the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, have completed 28 years in prison.

 

It said that Yahya Ighbariyah, 52, from the village of Musheirfeh, and Mohammad Jabareen, 69, from Umm al-Fahm, both Arab towns in Israel, were sentenced for life in prison for resisting the Israeli occupation, according to the official news agency.

 

The two were among 30 Palestinian prisoners held since before the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993 Israel has reneged on their release in 2014 in a US-sponsored Palestinian-Israeli deal in which Israel would release all Palestinian political prisoners held since before the signing of the Oslo agreement.
