Palestinian Islamic Jihad Faction snipers opened fire at Israeli occupation forces near southern Gaza border today Wednesday.
Israeli occupation military said that no injuries caused after Islamic Jihad sniper team opened fire on a group of Israeli soldiers near the city of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip. Added Israeli troops returned fire “to remove the threat”.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad is considered the second most powerful faction in the Gaza Strip, after Hamas,. In November, Israel fought a launched two-day war with the PIJ, sparked by the IOF killing one of the group’s senior commanders — Baha Abu al-Ata — whom Israel claimed was responsible for many rocket launches at southern and central Israel.
