Palestinian prisoners’ affairs organizations said in a joint statement that Israeli occupation forces detained 245 from occupied Jerusalem, 30 from the city of Ramallah, 70 Palestinians from Hebron, 43 others from Jenin city and 14 from Nablus.
The remaining prisoners were arrested from across the occupied West Bank in addition to nine Palestinians who were arrested from Gaza Strip.
The report explained that with the new detainees; the number of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel reached about 5,000 including 42 female prisoners and 200 minors.
It pointed out that the number of administrative detainees has reached about 450 prisoners.
The organisations stressed in their report that the Israeli authorities continue to violate international humanitarian laws and the Geneva Conventions and fight the Palestinian presence through a set of systematic and complex policies, and consolidate their grave violations through a judicial system that constitutes the primary tool in legalising and perpetuating their crimes.
They went on to call on the local, regional and international organisations to take effective steps to protect the Palestinian presence especially in light of the escalating policy of systematic torture which affected dozens of detainees.
