Bethlehem, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 –Diab Mashaleh, head Jabah village council, said that Israeli settlers planted forests trees in the Palestinian lands in preparation for controlling them south of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
Diab stated that the villagers were surprised to see the settlers planting in the area without any prior notice.
He said the land amounts to thousands of dunums and part of it has been planted with olive trees for decades.
Diab clarified that the Israeli army closed most of this region and prevented the local farmers from reaching their lands for planting them, even after coordination with the army to grow their lands.
He confirmed that such attacks do not only affect the farmers, as they affect most of the public secondary students who seek to reach their schools, as the way has become very difficult and difficult.
