Ramallah, yesterday, A local official said that a group of settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in the town of Um Safa, north of Ramallah, and placed barbed wire in the area 'B" and "C" of the west bank as a preparation for control.

The settlers laid a fence with more land than 150 dunums clearly suggesting control over it.

Head of Um Safa village council confirmed that the illegal settlers in the neighboring settlement of Halmish attacked the farmers near the village of Um Safa, shot fire at their cows and destroyed crops.

The land is located in Area "B " and "C" of the West Bank. Area B is controlled by the Palestinian Authority and Israel security control, which includes 21% of the West Bank, Area C, which makes up 61% of the West Bank, is under Israeli administrative and security control.
