A Palestinian prisoner held in Israeli jails has completed today [Saturday] his sixteenth year of imprisonment and entered the 17th year, said the Palestinian Prisoners' Society in a statement.
Ahmad Mustafa Ahmed al-Shaibani, aged 47, from al-Rarabeh town in the occupied West Bank district of Jenin, has entered his seventeenth year of imprisonment inside Israeli jails, said the statement.
The Israeli court sentenced al-Shaibani to life imprisonment three times in addition to three years on charges of membership in the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement.
It is worth mentioning that Palestinian prisoner Ahmad al-Shaibani was born on Jan 1st, 1972 and is a father of two children.
His son Mustafa was wounded by a live bullet in the abdomen during the events of the Palestinian Intifada and his wife is a liberated prisoner who has been in Israeli jails for nine months.
