The Duchess of Sussex wedding
The Duchess of Sussex wore the stunning Stella McCartney gown for the evening part of her lavish wedding last year which took place at Frogmore House.
Stylist Jessica Mulroney shared a picture of another bride she dressed with a similar dress to Meghan’s £60,000 custom-made designer gown. She wrote on Twitter: “This look. This couple! “High neck for the win.”
followers of Ms Mulroney noticed the similarities between the dress and the one Meghan wore.
One said: “It’s a Meghan Markle reception dress for a bride!! Absolutely LOVE IT Another said: “Soooo beautiful! It reminds me of Meghan’s second gown.” And another fan said: “Looks like Meghan’s evening dress. So (fire emoji) and with the aqua marine ring.”
Ms Mulroney tagged the Toronto dress designer Kleinfeld Canada in the photo suggesting this is where the dress is from.
A statement from Kensington Palace about Meghan’s dress said: “The Bride’s evening dress is designed by Stella McCartney and is a bespoke lily white high neck gown made of silk crepe”.
Stella McCartney has said to Elle magazine: “I think Meghan chose me for reasons other than just a beautiful dress – plenty of people can do that. She is not a difficult client to make look beautiful.”
The 39 year old stylist was also one of the people who planned Meghan’s baby shower in New York earlier this year. The pair are believed to have met when Meghan moved from Los Angeles to Toronto and are both big fans of yoga.
Ms Mulroney also shared a picture of Meghan in her wedding gown she wore to the church last May.She said: “Regal beauty. Simplicity and elegance at its best. I’m so proud of you.”
In September 2016, the friend enjoyed a holiday in Italy together. Her children, Ivy, John and Brian were part of the bridal party as flower girl and paige boys for Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
