Nasser Taqtaqa, a Palestinian political prisoner
Gaza Post – West Bank
The mother of Palestinian political prisoner Nasser Taqtaqa, who passed away on July 15 inside an Israeli solitary confinement expressed with tears how painful it was to receive the news of her son's death.
With pain and distress, she said, "I and my daughters were awaiting my son's body to return to us.
"I wished I could have taken his place so that I would have died instead of him", she grievously said.
"I can't believe this loss. I was waiting for him to be released. I want him to get married and have a family" the mother added.
Naser Taqtaqa, 31, from Beit Fujjar in the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, died while he was being held in solitary confinement in the Israeli prison of Nitzan.
It is worth mentioning that Taqtaqa was subjected to cruel and brutal Israeli interrogation and was transferred to solitary confinement because he was trying to protest the IPS policy of medical negligence practiced against Palestinian prisoners.
