Dozens of Palestinians, accompanied by Israeli and international peace activists, held a nonviolent rally on Friday against the ongoing illegal Israeli colonialist activities, including the occupation of Palestinian homes in Silwan town southern of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem, according to local sources.
The sources said that the protest started at the entrance of Silwan town, near the so-called "City of David" illegal colony, and headed towards a home owned by Siyam family which was removed from its property two days ago and replaced with colonialist settlers.
The demonstrators rose signs in Arabic, English and Hebrew, calling for putting an end to the Israeli violations, and chanted slogans against the escalating confiscation of Palestinian homes and lands along with other colonialist activities.
Israeli soldiers and policeman attacked the nonviolent demonstrators and pushed them around to disperse them.
