"A Palestinian child was injured in the head by Israeli soldiers' gunfire in al-Ras area while Israeli occupation forces were trying to suppress the weekly peaceful protests that take action in Kafr Qaddum in the occupied West Bank district of Qalqylia." medical sources announced on Friday.

Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported, the child, identified as 10-year-old Abdul Rahman Yasser Shteiwi, was shot in the head and transferred to Rafidya Hospital in Nablus.

Abdul Rahman's health condition is reportedly critical.

The child was injured the moment he left his house and was not among the participants of the protests, al-Quds newspaper reported.

Also, the newspaper pointed out that the Israeli soldiers heavily fired live bullets towards the participants who marched today to call for the opening of the village's main entrance which has been sealed off for about two decades.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces arbitrarily suppressed the "Kafr Qaddum" march on Friday afternoon.
