Prisoner Marwan Barghouthi wife, lawyer Fadwa Barghouthi, briefed on the difficult conditions experienced by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons during the meeting held at the headquarters of the Arab League on Thursday night.

She confirmed to each of Assistant Secretary General Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General for Palestinian and Occupied Arab Affairs, Said Abu Ali, the seriousness of the attempt to criminalize the Palestinian struggle through work and pressure to cut salaries of prisoners and martyrs, demanding the need to develop a plan to defend the legitimacy of the prisoners struggle to face the dangerous Israeli plans.

Barghouthi said in a statement after the meeting that the Secretary-General has put all the violations committed by the occupying state against Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons, pointing out that it conveyed a verbal message from the prisoner Marwan Barghouthi to the Secretary-General of the Arab League.

For his part, Aboul Gheit affirmed that the Arab League pays great attention to the Palestinian issue and its latest developments, especially the prisoners issue and their suffering as a result of the daily Israeli violations.

 The Secretary-General also gave the prisoner Marwan Barghouthi two books: "My testimony and witness to war and peace."
