Israeli authorities have issued 432 administrative detention orders against Palestinian citizens since the begging of 2019, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Center for Studies (PPCS).

The total number included 294 renewed orders and other 138 new ones, the PPCS spokesperson Riyad al-Ashqar said in a press statement on Tuesday.

The spokesperson pointed out that the administrative orders range from about two and six months.

This arbitrary Israeli policy is a flagrant violation of international laws and accords, said al-Ashqar.

"There are currently 500 Palestinian prisoners being held under administrative detention inside Israeli jails, including four MPs, two children, and one woman, he added.

There are 5,700 Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli detention centers, including 48 women, 230 children, and 700 who require medical care, according to recent Palestinian statistics.
