Eid al-Adha is the most important feast of Muslims, which comes before the day of Arafah on the 10th of Thi al-Hijjah each year, where pilgrims perform the Hajj.
75px">The Hajj is the memory of Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him when Allah asked him to sacrifice to slaughter Ismail ( Abraham’s son). While Abraham, PBUH, was taking action to respond to Allah request, Allah sent him a sheep to slaughter instead. Since then it was called Eid Al Adha where Muslims sacrifice sheep to the poor and needy families and relatives.
The date of Arafah in Britain was selected on Sunday, 9 Thi al-Hijjah corresponding to 11 August 2019, and Eid al-Adha will be the next day, On August 12.
