Middle East Monitor(MEMO), reported that Israeli occupation authorities announced yesterday that they will return 20 fishing boats to the besieged Gaza Strip within the upcoming 24 hours.
Zakaria Bakr, coordinator of the Palestinian Fishermen’s Syndicate of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees in Gaza, said that a boat was returned through orders of an Israeli occupation court issued in May.
Noteworthy, that the court decision called for 65 boats which had been confiscated by occupation forces.
According to Baker, the boats will be returned by land not sea, as a matter of not being suitable for navigation any more. Adding to the financial burdens which their owners have to bear.
