No for Manama Workshop
Gaza Post- West Bank
Palestinian Authority security service released late Saturday the Palestinian businessman after they had arrested while coming back from the US-led conference held in Bahrain this week, Hebrew media reported.
Palestinian sources said the release of the Palestinian businessman came as a result of a threat message sent by the American embassy to the Palestinian presidency.
Hebrew media claimed earlier the PA security services arrested Salah Abu Mayala, Palestinian businessman from Hebron, and chased others who fled into Israeli settlements' neighborhoods in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.
Earlier this week, American Fox News published an urgent letter indicating that Palestinian security forces detained some of those who participated in the so-called Peace for Prosperity workshop in Manama, the capital of Bahrain.
The PA detention campaign has provoked the anger of some American officials who considered this procedure as a violation of the American role.
"We are pleased the PA has released the Palestinian they arrested after attending the Peace to Prosperity workshop. We look forward to continuing our conversation with all who attended the workshop & anyone else who wants a better future for the Palestinians." Jason D. Greenblatt tweeted.
