Israeli authorities demanded 5,000 INS from the family of Palestinian martyr Omer Younis so as to allow them to visit their son while he was injured in the hospital few days before his martyrdom. According to a statement revealed by Israeli Haaretz newspaper on Friday.
Omer, 20 years old, from Qaqlylia city, was shot by Israeli soldiers' gunfire at a military roadbloack in nothern West Bank, claiming he was trying to carry out a shooting.
Younis was reportedlly transferred to Beilinson Israeli medical center, where he remained in a very serious condition, hooked to a respiraroty machine, until his death several days after he was injured.
He succumed to he suffered after a week following the shooting.
The Palestinian Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission said recetly that the passing of Omar Younis rises the number of detained martyrs to 291 since 1967.
