Omar Younis, died of his wounds he had last Saturday by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire.
A Palestinian young man succumbed on Saturday of his critical wounds he sustained by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire in the northern West Bank city of Nablus last week, medics said.
The Palestinian Authority Health Ministry said in a short emailed press statement that it was informed by the Palestinian liaison office with the Israeli side that Omar Younis, died of his wounds he had last Saturday by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire.
Younis was critically injured last Saturday at an Israeli army roadblock near Nablus.The Israeli army said that the soldiers opened fire at him after he tried to carry out a stabbing attack by knife.
He was critically wounded and was taken to an Israeli hospital for medical treatment, according to Israeli and Palestinian media sources.
No injuries reported among the soldiers at the roadblock. Younis body is still held by the Israeli side, according to the PA health ministry statement.
