Israeli spacecraft crushes into the moon
Gaza Post - Gaza
An attempt by Israel to land its spacecraft, Beresheet, on the moon has failed after crashing to the lunar surface. The spacecraft had been launched in February.
Israeli SpaceIL confirmed on Thursday that the attempt was not successful.
The main reason of the crash was apparent failure of the main engine of the spacecraft.
“We unfortunately have not managed to land successfully.” said the general manager of the Israel Aerospace Industries space programme, Opher Doron.
The cause of the crash was apparent failure of the main engine, said Space IL.
Beresheet means “genesis” or “in the beginning” in Hebrew language.
