Israel told Egypt ,which is mediating a truce between the Hebrew state and Hamas, that it is ready to suspend its military operation in Gaza according to Al-Jazeera.
According to a Qatari news channel, Israeli officials have told the Egyptian mediator mediating the talks that they have agreed to end their military operation.
The security cabinet of Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has met at 7 p.m. on Thursday to discuss the terms of the ceasefire.
During a phone chat with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, US President Joe Biden said he "expects a considerable de-escalation on the route to a truce." Netanyahu warned Biden that the operation will continue until Israel's security needs were met.
Despite the allegations, Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen stated that Israel was committed to continuing the operation for as long as it was necessary to restore Israel's security.
Cohen told Kan Radio, "We will cease the operation when we feel we have achieved our aims."
