Israel's official Twitter account chastised US model Bella Hadid for participating in a New York rally against Israel's Gaza Strip violence.
"When celebrities like @BellaHadid advocate for tossing Jews into the sea, they are calling for the abolition of the Jewish State," the Israeli Foreign Ministry's official Twitter account stated.
"This shouldn't be an Israeli-Palestinian problem," the account continued, "but rather a human issue." You should be ashamed of yourselves."
Since May 10, Israel's bombing campaign has killed 230 Palestinians, including 65 children, 39 women, and 17 old persons. In Gaza, 1,710 individuals have been injured.
Protests occurred in major Western cities like London, Paris, Rome, New York, and Dallas as soon as the bombing campaign began, with massive crowds participating.
However, social media users slammed Israel for lying about the worldwide model, with Hicham Yezza, editor of Ceasefire Magazine, claiming, "She mentioned nothing of the sort." You're promoting a heinous and terrible behavior on purpose.
While, the Jewish sports journalist at the Nation Dave Zirin replied: "Telling Big Lies to demonize others has a horrific tradition in our Jewish history. To see you adopt these tactics is a shanda and a sin."
Meanwhile, a CNN journalist Hilary Rosen replied: "When an official government account attacks a model for speaking out against them, I think they've lost the thread."
