President Mahmoud Abbas expressed on Monday concern about the Covid-19 crisis in India .
In a telegram to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Abbas wrote, "We are watching with great concern the significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases among the friendly citizens of India.
“We respect your Excellency's and the Indian health system's efforts to fight the spread of this pandemic as we express our solidarity with you in this difficult health situation,” he added.
He expressed trust in the Indian government's "ability and wisdom to monitor ]the pandemic's spread and resolve this crisis in a way that ensures your people's protection."
He ended the telegram by expressing his heartfelt wishes for Modi's and the Indian people's "health, safety, and prosperity."
