In India, vets removed 71 kilograms of plastic, nails, and other garbage from a pregnant stray cow.
The People For Animals Trust Faridabad rescued this cow after a road accident in late February.
Medics managed to clear the waste from the cow's stomach over the course of four hours.
Unfortunately, both the baby and the mother died.
The incident has brought attention to the country's twin issues of pollution and stray cattle.
India's cities are home to at least 5 million cows, many of which feast on the large quantities of waste produced littered on the streets.
