The Magistrate’s Court in Kfar Saba ordered Yair Netanyahu to pay Dana Kashdi, a member of the Blue and White party, half a million shekels, after a defamation lawsuit due to suggestions made by the prime minister's son on Twitter that there was an intimate relationship between her and Benny Gantz.

The rule against Netanyahu was issued in the absence of a defense letter. Maariv says it is possible that Netanyahu will seek to overturn the ruling and a defense letter will be filed on his behalf later.

The activist had said that Netanyahu's son took advantage of her routine image, along with Gantz, to defame her and portray it as being of a sexual relationship.
