Palestinian divers participated in the Gaza Strip, on Friday, in a volunteer campaign, to search for missing Egyptians.

The volunteer campaign was launched from "Madinat Al Zahra" beach, south of Gaza City, where divers went to the sea to carry out the search operation, and they were carrying Egyptian flags.

Hani Miqdad, campaign official, said that the event "is a message of goodness, from volunteer divers in the Gaza Strip to our brothers in Egypt.

He added, "The divers insisted that they enter the sea to search for the Egyptian brothers, who drowned in the sea of the Egyptian city of Port Said during the past few days."

According to Miqdad, the number of participants in the research event reached 30 people.

"Despite the lack of resources and the blockade, the Palestinian divers insisted on carrying out the search process, to emphasize the depth of Arab and Islamic relations," Miqdad added.

On February 17, the Egyptian official news agency (A.A.A.) announced that "a boat sank while delivering parcels from a shipping agency to a ship anchored in the Mediterranean, off Port Said."

It explained that the boat crew consisting of 5 people died by drowning, due to bad weather and high waves, and the body of one of them was recovered, and the bodies of the other 4 are being searched for.
