The prisoner club said, on Tuesday, that the health condition of Prisoner Ihab Al-Hajouj (33 years) from Bani Naim town in Hebron has worsened due to the harsh detention conditions he is facing, and the occupation’s prison administration’s procrastination in providing him with the necessary treatment.
The club stated in a press release that Al-Hajouj has recently began to suffer from the appearance of a lump in one of his sides. Since his arrest in 2014, he has suffered and still has severe pain in the neck and back, and difficulty in movement, as a result of being severely beaten during his arrest and investigation, for nearly two months.
The prisoner's family called on all the relevant authorities to put pressure on the occupation prisons administration, in order to provide him with the necessary treatment and follow up his health conditions. He is serving a sentence of ten years imprisonment, while he is married and the father of two children.
It is noteworthy that during the past year, and at the beginning of this year, there has been an escalation in the number of sick prisoners, knowing that until the end of last year, the number of sick prisoners reached about 700, of whom about 300 prisoners suffering from chronic diseases, and facing difficult conditions of detention.
