Minister of Health Mai Alkaila called on Tuesday the world community, human rights organisations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene to prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from demolishing a clinic operated by the Ministry of Health in the village of Zanouta, south of Hebron in the south of the West Bank.
Alkaila clarified in a statement that this clinic, released yesterday by Israel with a demolition order against it along with several other homes in the same village, serves all residents who are now at risk of displacement and loss of their shelters.
These measures are in direct breach of the Fourth Geneva Convention by the occupying authorities and are in violation of international agreements and treaties requiring the international community to intervene and defend international law,' said the Minister of Health.
Israeli occupation authorities told on Monday hundreds of village residents besides the clinic and village council house, of the plan to demolish their dwellings.
The village is located close to an illegal Israeli settlement at the expense of others local Palestinian population and land .To sum up, this scheme seeks to expand.
