A seven months palestinian pregnant had miscarried last Thuresday  after Israeli forces fired tear gas repeatedly at her home in Mugheer village, east of Ramallah.

Areej Abu Alia, 37, suffered from severe bleeding and was hospitalized for several days after the Israeli occupation fired more than a hundred tear gas canisters in front of and around her home over the previous week.

Her house is located within the areas that the Israeli authorities decided to control by force, and Palestinian residents constantly protest the actions of the Israeli occupation on an almost daily basis.

“We live in a very dangerous area,” said Iyad Abu Alya, Arij’s husband. Tear gas canisters are scattered around the house and inside, and I can no longer collect them immediately to throw them out of the reach of our children. "

Almost every night, Iyad added, tear gas penetrated their house through the windows while they slept. Sometimes, he has to pack his wife and eight children in their truck and go out of town until the tear gas subsides.

The occupation forces stormed the village in the early hours of last Thursday and faced young men throwing stones in an attempt to repel the soldiers from their village, after which the occupation fired tear gas canisters, most of which fell near the house of Abu Alia, which led to the inhalation of a large amount of tear gas and its inability to Breathing.

Iyad rushed his wife to the Palestine Medical Hospital, and her condition increased there, so the doctors had to transfer her to the operating room when the pulse of her fetus stopped.

Iyad told reporters, “I have to take my children to the doctor every week because of the severe symptoms they suffer from as a result of tear gas inhalation. They suffer from acidity that causes constant vomiting and chest pain.

The house of Iyad and Areej is located a few meters from the place where the child Ali Abu Alia, 15, a relative of the family, was killed by the occupation forces on December 4, 2020, and less than 50 meters from the place where Hamdi al-Na`san was killed , who was killed by the Israeli occupation forces on January 26, 2019.
