The Egyptian national team surpassed its Macedonian counterpart by 38-19, Saturday, in the second confrontation of the Pharaohs in the World Handball Cup, in the seventh group.
The Egyptians dominated the match since its start and ended its first game with a score of 20-18, before their absolute control in the second half and being able to move away by 19 goals by the end of the match.
The win raised the balance of the Egyptian team to 4 points at the top of the group, to ensure the Pharaohs qualify for the main round of the tournament officially, while Macedonia remained without any point.
The 24 teams qualified for the main round of the 2021 Handball World Cup are divided into 4 groups, each comprising 6 teams.
The Egyptian national team defeated Chile 35-29, Wednesday, in the opening match of the World Cup.
In another match in favor of sixth Group, the Moroccan national team suffered its second loss in the tournament, after it fell to its Portuguese counterpart, 33-20.
It is noteworthy that Egypt hosts the 27th edition of the Men's Handball World Cup with the participation of 32 teams, in a system applied for the first time in the history of the tournament, as only 24 teams participated in it over the past years.
