The Popular Resistance Committees in Palestine welcomed the issuance of the presidential decree on the general elections, stressing that this step needs a comprehensive and in-depth national dialogue to create the appropriate state for the success of the democratic process and the need to lift all sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip.

The Resistance Committees expressed that the elections will be the beginning of the way to achieve electoral maturity and the renewal of the Palestinian political system for all Palestinian institutions, pointing out that this step requires a comprehensive and strategic national dialogue to create the appropriate climate for the success of the democratic process.

It also indicated that achieving true unity can only be achieved through real national and political partnership on national foundations and through a resistance program aimed at uprooting the Zionist enemy from our land.

Meanwhile, The Resistance Committees called for the lifting of all sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip, especially the return of the salaries cut to their owners, and the release of all detainees on political grounds so that the citizen feels safe and in the presence of a real democratic atmosphere, considering that the problem of the Palestinian people is embodied in the presence of the Israeli occupation on the land of Palestine and all the forms of suffering that they suffer. Our people will not disappear without the end of the occupation of our land and our sanctities.

The committees stressed that resistance in all its forms is the only way to liberate the land and holy sites and defeat the usurper Zionist enemy from our land.
